Yamaha PAC-1511-MS Japanese Mike Stern Signature
Yamaha PAC-1511-MS Japanese Mike Stern Signature
Every now and then we are proud to offer something very special, and this is very special indeed. These Japanese made top end 1511 models were produced between 1997 and 2014, this one is a 2001. They had an RRP of £1700 back then.
You get a stunning ash body with maple neck, Seymour Duncan 59 at the neck and a hot rails at the bridge, a 3 way switch, Yamahas own 6 saddle bridge, and a comfort cut for your arm.
This guitar arrived with a marked top, from a named player. It has stickers on the top for years then, they were removed leaving stains in the lacquer. As a result I have painstakingly stripped the original finish and hand oiled it with gun stock oil. This has taken 12 coats, all hand rubbed and hand finished to a glorious high sheen. I have worked in sympathy with the fabulous ash and not coated it so think that all the contours are lost, these are still visible when tilting the guitar in the light.
There is minimal fret weak, all electrics are perfect and I have upgraded the jack out to a switchcraft one. Both pickups work as full humbuckers, so don't expect jangling tele tones here!
It will come in a used Hiscox Tele case as shown in the pictures.
