Watkins Wilson Rapier 44 1969 original

From the era when very few guitars were available in the UK, the Watkins rapiers were among the best selling electrics and still hold a certain charm today. They are quirky, and a lot of fun.

Now don't expect "custom shop" quality here, these were, and still are a basic built. This 1969 example is totally original, asides from the jack sock which I have replaced with a switchcraft one as the original had given up the ghost. Also missing a truss rod cover.
The electrics are quite bonkers with a rhythm and solo switch, plus a 4 way rotary knob, a tone knob for just one setting and independent volumes for the rhythm and solo pickup options.

Its great fun and a fab piece of kitsch rock and roll history which is both usable and decorative.
