I know this might ruffle a few feathers but put this up against a new, current production USA model and this will have the overall edge on finish quality and attention to detail. Like most all Japanese Tokais it is built to the best standard and this quality has never faltered over the decades.

This use example is a fabulous flame top in tobacco sunburst, the condition is excellent with the slightest of marks on the back from use. It is set up with a sweet fast action and all frets, hardware and electrics are good to go.
You cannot beat these for value if you are looking for a top end Les Paul.
