It's rare that we get a guitar in, and have to do absolutely nothing to it, to prepare it for sale. That's the case with this stunning Squier Classic Vibe Starcaster. The previous owner recently had this professionally set up, and a new bone nut fitted. Whoever did this work did a spectacular job, as this plays as well as guitars which are multiple times the price. The quality of Squier really is excellent nowadays - you're not getting an inherently inferior instrument - and it goes to show just how pivotal a good quality set up by professional techs (like us, hint hint!! 😉) can be to playability.
The maple neck is noticeably quite skinny, coupled with a sub 2mm action makes it a breeze to play. It's in rather excellent condition, having had only very light home use throughout its life. The twin wide-range style humbuckers and semi-hollow body make this a departure from your average F-style model, but it still has the bite and jangle you'd hope for. Popping a nice set of handwound pickups in here would make this a truly world-class machine, but it's still great without any more modding needed.
