Rickenbacker 480 guitar 1978 rarity

When did you last see one of these? Other than on stage with kasabian!
These were made in very limited numbers between 1973 to 1984, and designed to mirror the 4000 series bases.
These fabulous old war horse is all original and has mojo-a-plenty, with battle scars on the paintwork as expected from 47 years of enjoyment.

The neck pickup is microphonic when played through a higher gain pedal, but being original we have not touched it. Obviously you could have it re-wax potted should you choose. We can arrange this on request.

It currently is set up with 10s, the action is under 2mm at the 12 and it plays cleanly. These are quite a light guitar and so much fun to play! The layout is similar to a les Paul, with a 3 way pickup selector and individual volume and tone per pickup.
The neck pickup is dark and warm, and the neck quite bright and thinner, very "Tele-esque" in the tonal variation.
