MusicMan Sterling Sub Stingray active 4 bass
When Leo Fender returned to the guitar world after a break, and selling his company to CBS in the 60s he had time to develop his designs with tweaks and the result was the legendary "Stingray" bass launched in 1976, and this has become a firm favourite with bass players since.
This is a modern day incarnation of the bass, which maintains the 3 and 1 tuning key design to reduce the headstock size. It is also active with treble and bass boosts offering a wide tonal range.
This one, as you can see, is finished in classic "black on black" with a maple fingerboard and neck. These models punch well above the price tag and make a great gig-worthy bass.
This one is tidy with a couple of small dings, shown in the pictures. All working perfectly and just set up it is ready to rock....or funk.....or jazz....you get the idea!
