Maverick were a UK designed, Korean made brand that was around in the 90's and early 2000s, aimed at rock/metal players with designs that features like slim fast neck profiles and through neck designs.
This one is a less commonly seen model, the "species" and this one is loaded with active EMG humbuckers, 3 way switching and master volume/tone controls.
The high end neck join allows easy access to the highest frets and the strings are through body mounted/hard tail.
This is a nice players example, there are a few small nicks around the body, but the frets, electrics and hardware are fine.
It has been set up and plays way better than a guitar at this price point should, feeling more akin to a top end Ibanez.

  • Body: Basswood, with F1-style profiling and a set-neck/neck-through design.
  • Neck: Canadian Maple with rosewood fingerboard and often features neck/headstock binding.
  • Scale Length: 25.5 inches.
  • Frets: 24 Frets (often cited as very small/narrow, designed for low action).
  • Pickups: 2 x Original Maverick LQ-6 4 Core Custom humbuckers.
  • Bridge: Tune-o-matic with string-thru-body, offering high sustain.
