Hondo II "Les Paul Custom" 1977 ish

Like many of these old vintage copy guitars the paper stickers on the back have long gone, so we are dating it from experience. This Hondo II has the ammended open book headstock, and ply body and headstock inlay, which puts is around 1977/8
While some call these a law suit guitar but they never were. They were made in the law suit era but Hondo were never threatened with court action by Gibson. The rules were set from an out of court settlement based on the silhouette of the headstock, following which most manufacturers changed to comply. (Some didn't!..you know who you are!)

This one came to us in a poor way, we have fitted a new nut, fixed all of the wiring, polished and seated the frets, cleaned and conditioned the fret board and given it a full set up, and now it is a lot of fun! It is not in mint condition as you can clearly see from the pictures, but given that it is around 48 years old, it is quite tidy.
