Hofner 450 cutaway vintage acoustic

Wow, this is a real step back in time...this old girl dates from around the late 50's/early 60's. Some of the early Hofners had a serial number written on the underside of the top, visible with a mirror through the F hole. Many didn't, and this one is unmarked, so we can only date it by the design and placement of the Hofner logo.
There were far more 450 made than this 450 cutaway, now we could tell you it is therefore "rare" and worth a fortune, but lets be realistic!
It plays fine, has a very sensible action, although as you might expect it is far from a mint example, with natural wear and tear from 60+ years of enjoyment.
The necks on these older guitars are deeper than modern shapes, but slightly narrower across the nut.
So whether you play it or adorn the wall with it, it really is great value for a nice vintage guitar.
