GODIN Stadium '59 - Desert Green
GODIN Stadium '59 - Desert Green
Godin are probably one of the most overlooked pro quality guitars made. From the famous guitar factory based in Canada, amazing guitars have been made since 1972.
You may well know brands like Seagull, Art & Lutherie, Simon & Patrick, Norman, which are all made in this factory, which remains a family business today.
The Multiac has been a top seller for the Godin brand, and over the past years they have launched world challenging electrics that really do deserve respect.
This Stadium model is groundbreaking in its performance, from what appears to be an H/S layout guitar comes the most comprehensive tonal range at your fingertips. What I am saying is that if you cannot get your tone from this guitar...well take up the triangle!
How can we justify that, well here is the guide to the 5 way blade selector switch fitted -
Full humbucker - single & single in series - single & humbucker in parallel - single & single parallel - bridge single coil.
Now press the HDR button and you repeat these 5 option with a completely different "set" of pickups!
Press the what? Well that innocent look button near the tone knob engages a re-voicing system, changing the tonal output of both pickups.
On top of this the guitar is perfectly finished to the very highest of standards, one of the easiest guitars we have played and hand on heart, astonishing value for money.
A huge benefit with Godin is that you really do get what you see, there are no "higher spec" custom shop options. All models are build to the highest spec to rival other custom shop quality made guitars, and then you start to realise how these are such good value.
The playability of the neck, the finish on the frets and overall feel instantly tell the player this is at the highest end of guitar quality.
Here is what Godin say about this staggering guitar -
The Stadium ‘59 embodies the latest evolution of modern playability and style, while providing tonal versatility through the combination of its Seymour Duncan ‘59 humbucker and Godin custom Cajun single-coil pickup. This standout electric showcases a unique and eye-catching Desert Green finish and a vintage ashtray bridge.
