Gibson Les Paul Standard Gold Top 2012 - Upgrades

This rather lovely gold top has had an interesting life, as you can see it is not the usual look you might expect.
This one has had a full new Gibson wiring loom, to replace the printed circuit board nonsense, the pickups have been upgraded to Bare Knuckles "Stormy Mondays".  That is a lot of cash laid out on upgrades making this something rather special, and as a real Les Paul nutter myself, I do think this is a good one!
Now onto that "Murphy labs" finish? Well this has never been near a Gibson custom shop but is has undergone my own custom bench treatment. The top is nicely checked, but a few areas has lifted, so the options were to strip it and leave it (Marc Bolan style),  completely refinish it, or relic it, and as you can see I chose the last option as it looks so sexy!
It comes with the original hard case and booklet, it plays like any great Les Paul should having also been set up. Currently it is fitted with Ernie's finest "Ultra" strings.
