When you think of a Gibson Les Paul, with the classic twin humbucker, tune-o-matic, stop tail, 4 knob, rosewood neck combo, you generally are also thinking of selling the family heirloom and increasing the mortgage, so its refreshing to find a very good, gig worthy Les Paul under £1,000!
Only made for about a year this is the 2004 Gibson Les Paul Special, a single cut loaded with classic chrome covered Gibson humbuckers. These were a thin coat finish and just like the early Fender Highway ones the finish wears into a relic finish quite easily, and this one has more mojo than an international mojo convention!
It plays very well and has had the tuners upgraded to a set of Grover locking mini kidney buttons. All working fine and freshly set up and strung, and the best bit.....its up for £850...oh yessssss
