We all know the price of vintage Gibson acoustics, and in fairness they are beyond the reach of many, so it is refreshing to be able to offer a true vintage beauty to a wider audience.
Now I am not going to tell you this is mint and the best Gibson ever made, it has had work done over its 52 years of enjoyment. The neck has been reset back in time, this was carried out well and has no issues as a result. The action at the 12th is perfect for the model at 2.25mm.
There are many battle scars and scuffs all over the guitar, but nothing seriously damaged, no neck breaks nor dead frets, no cracks in the table/sides/back.
It has a serious amount of mojo and then there's the sound...oh boy, that is the thing that makes this a stunning acoustic.
The saddle is a period Schaller piezo pickup, with jack socket in the strap button, this is very loud for a passive pickup, ideal for live use. Obviously unlike modern onboard preamps there is no EQ control, so a pedal or altering the amp/PA is the way to get your sound.
