Fender Musicmaster Bass 1978 - Refinished body

Now this is rather lovely, this fabulous bass has been owned by the former owner for decades, it is 100% original with the neck dated as 1978, the body as 79 and the pots as 77, classic USA Fender from this era.

The bass had some of the heaviest nicotine contamination we have ever seen, and despite many hours trying to remove this we had to admit defeat. The nicotine had chemically altered the original paint to a point it remained soft/sticky and unusable
Some of the cleaning process is shown in the pictures.
As a result we stripped it back to the wood and refinished it sympathetically, so it is not "brand new/glossy" but a patina in keeping with the age.

As mentioned everything is original and having been set up and restrung it is a formidable instrument with a stack of mojo.
