Fender launched the "Lead" Series in 79, with a solid-body double cut design, hard-tail bridges and various wiring options. These were an instant hit and are now a solid part of Fenders history.

The Player Lead III, a tribute to the original limited edition 1982 model, loaded with a set of hot alnico Player humbucking pickups, dual-toggle switches, one for pickup selection and the other for coil-splits, and a modern "C" neck shape with medium jumbo frets. 

The Player Lead Series offers style, power and versatility in a comfortable, easy-to-play package.
