Some know me as a man of mystery, that maybe true but you young ones won't follow this post, this guitar is seldom seen, many hanker after it but they are kept in the shadows, and the Squier versions are not apache on this Fender from 1997. Now don't get impatient, don't be a foot tapper, I will get to the point. These are rare, they don't just fall off of a cliff you know. Some say if you take your summer holiday to a place in the sun, a wonderful land like Atlantis you may spot one in the hidden city. Then you have to return to the Alamo with the riders in the sky in the moonlight shadows. Rumour has it there was a time these were available from the quatermassters store according to a lady named Mary Anne, but she spent most of her life in a sleepwalk, kinda like a living doll, so that is a dubious claim. One owner said he fought for his from a the savage called Geronimo, who lived in an evergreen tree, he says he had a cosy chat, but when he was called a little "B" he had to runaway......OK that's it I'm done!! Enough......
So on a serious note (with a lot of reverb and some tremolo), this is one of the holy grail Strats, only 500 made for the UK market, this is the genuine Fender Hank Marvin signature model in vintage Fiesta red, loaded with 50's staggered pole pickups, featuring the "V" profile 50's neck and a 7.25" radium, it really is a great re-issue. Now don't get me wrong, the Squier version is a nice guitar, but this is "the Daddy"
This fabulous example has seen little use on the battlefield, it is immaculate with the mildest of tarnish on the metal work. All working perfectly and sounding perfectly "50's", it has been fully set up, currently with Hybrid strings, floating trem and a 2mm action on the low E at the 12th fret.
