If you are a lover of nice Japanese vintage Fenders.....look away now!! This example left the factory in Japan in '86 and has had one hell of a rock n roll journey since!
This is the description from a former owner -
Fender 1986 Contemporary Stratocaster originally a single pickup configuration but has bee routed out with a shovel to be a H/S/S Schaller dual rail in bridge, currently has an iron gear in mid and a Seymour Duncan hot rails in the neck with a mini toggle switch to split it. The tremolo arm hole filled with epoxy and trem blocked off. Previously owned and modded by Steve Turner and toured with Brian Connolly in his first band after he left Sweet.
So, make of it what you will! It plays very well and had a good tonal variation. At the moment it only has the first tone control wired in, to the mid pickup, so both humbuckers are "full shred"!
If it were untouched and tidy it would be between £799 and £1000...it isn't, let me make this clear, it is a "war pig", a true workman of an axe, knocks, marks, paint touch ups, split lacquer, it has every badge of honour you can imagine, as a result we have priced it accordingly.
