Comins GCS-16-1 With hard case

Much admired in the jazz world, the Comins range of jazzers are the brainchild of USA master luthier Bill Comins. This fabulous range are Korean made and in aiming to please even the most discriminating of players, these instruments are crafted in small batches with the final touch being that every instrument receives a full precision setup in Bill's workshop before going to its final destination.

This used example has seen very light use and is immaculate, and comes with the original fitted hard case. These are sold through Maks, and this one was bought new for £2,299
It is currently set up with flatwound strings and a very low/clean action

• Top: Laminated Spruce

• Back and Sides: Laminated Flame Maple

• Neck: Hard Maple

• Fingerboard: Ebony, 12” radius, 25.0” scale length, 1.70” nut width, dot position markers

• Neck: Medium C shape, comfortably contoured

• Pickups and electronics: Custom wound Kent Armstrong mounted humbucker, (1) volume and (1) tone controls.

• Pickguard and Tailpiece Overlay: Richlite eco-friendly composite

• Binding: Multi-ply ivory/black surround the peghead, neck, and body 

Conceptually in the tradition of archtop jazz guitars, the GCS-16-1 imparts the girth of tone that only a guitar body with ample air space can achieve. That said, the 16” x 2.75” body remains very comfortable, has quickness in response, and offers a pleasing amount of acoustic presence. The body size also helps reduce potential for feedback and the built-in full size humbucker creates smooth and well balanced amplified tonalities.  As a jazz guitar the GCS-16-1 does everything you want it to do and fingerstyle players will appreciate the lofty overtones imparted by the laminated Spruce top.
