Casio DG-20 Synth guitar 1980s

Could this be the ultimate "marmite" instrument? Those that like it, absolutely love this thing, and then others can't see the point!

Well truth is, it isn't than expensive, you can play it on batteries through it's own speaker or plug it into an amp, or use the midi connection. It is essentially a Casio keyboard in guitar style. The notes are picked up by sensors on every fret, and the nylon strings do not need to be "tuned" and they are only there to make the contacts.
You can slide a note with a little practice, but you cannot bend a note across the board.
As you can see there are lots of "voices" and each option has a second option by pressing the options button. You can transpose the scale higher or lower, and there is a fine tuning dial to put it in concert pitch.

It also has a build in drum machine with multiple rhythms , plus a manual set of drum pads, footswitch and headphone sockets.
