So....WTF, I hear you thinking. Well the company "Bass Mods" are in California and offer custom builds on a "Jazz bass" shape. The woodwork is made in Korea, then sent to California for fitting, finishing and a Plek set up. I think this is a Samick 2015 bass, in trans black with a one piece bridge, Hipshot tuners, 18V active electrics, switchable to passive.

You get a coil split option, and 3 "tone voice" options for each pickup. Knobs include master volume, pickup blend, bass, middle and treble.

It is strung from 127 (Low B) to 20 plain (High E) on a 35" scale length. In effect it is a bass VI, with a low B, so is that a Bass VII? As you can imagine there are endless tuning options here.

We have just fitted a set of new strings checked it over and set it up, it is now ready to go.

Currently prices from Bass Mods start at £1,400 for a solid colour, 5 string with standard active preamp. They do not have a 7 option on the website at the moment but a plain 6 is £1,800.
