Auden have carved a very well respected reputation with their all solid UK finished acoustics and electro acoustics, from the huge success they have now introduced a fabulous new solid top range manufactured in China with many of the high quality details and finish and maintaining the world class Brad Clarke Supernatural pre-amp and dual pickup system at a price point that will make them difficult to better in terms of value for finish and sound quality.
This model is the Colton, a classic cutaway body dreadnought with a lively solid spruce top matched with rosewood back and sides. As mentioned, it also features the supernatural electrics combining an under saddle direct pickup system and a table mounted transducer, which can be blended into/out of the mix.
This one is in a gloss top, with satin back and sides. Being a dreadnought you get a strong rounded tonal range with emphasis on the lows, ideal as a huge sounding strummer and a nice softer finger picker.
