Auden have carved a very well respected reputation with their all solid UK finished acoustics and electro acoustics, from the huge success they have now introduced a fabulous new solid top range manufactured in China with many of the high quality details and finish and maintaining the world class Brad Clarke Supernatural pre-amp and dual pickup system at a price point that will make them difficult to better in terms of value for finish and sound quality.
This model is the Chester, a mid/large cutaway body with a powerful solid spruce top matched with rosewood back and sides. As mentioned it also features the supernatural electrics combining an under saddle direct pickup system and a table mounted transducer, which can be blended into/out of the mix.
This one is in a very attractive gloss top, and an overall satin finish. The body size delivers get a strong rounded tonal range with emphasis on the mids and lows, a punchy sounding strummer and a nice full range finger picker.
