Now I have to come clean here, I am 100% bias in my opinion as I have loved the PE since the late 70's when this model range was launched was launched. Now the original Japanese versions are fetching big money which comes as no surprise, but in honesty this modern reissue is an incredible guitar that punches well above its price tag.
The pickups are dual tone with a mini toggle per pickup, plus the regular LP control layout - 3 way pickup selector with volume and tone per pickup. These are pretty light and a joy to play, a soft "D" neck which is quite shallow and again a very easy playing guitar. the attention to detail harks back to the Japanese makers with that swooping neck cut making the higher register accessible with ease.
This one came to us as "B" stock, for a mark on the binding but I simply cannot find this, but we have reduced it substantially, so it really is a great deal now.
If you are after a good LP tone but with a lighter, easier to play instrument, this is well worth looking at!
