This Hondo II has the ammended open book headstock, and ply body and headstock inlay, which puts is around 1977\/8\u003cbr\u003eWhile some call these a law suit guitar but they never were. They were made in the law suit era but Hondo were never threatened with court action by Gibson. The rules were set from an out of court settlement based on the silhouette of the headstock, following which most manufacturers changed to comply. (Some didn't!..you know who you are!)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis one came to us in a poor way, we have fitted a new nut, fixed all of the wiring, polished and seated the frets, cleaned and conditioned the fret board and given it a full set up, and now it is a lot of fun!
